Ability for User to Refine the Len's Original Mask.
Refine filter mask - The app has a good edge detection but the masking isn’t always great, so the ability to refine the filter area (mask) would help remove areas that the app didn’t detect well or that we wish to have or not the filter applied to it

Select a object with AI in Photoshop Camera is very smart, but sometimes it doesn't work for me. At that time, it would be nice if I could adjust the mask range myself like Photoshop.
I made a prototype with XD as a trial.https://xd.adobe.com/view/45565162-3e02-456a-b0e5-06a6d8bf9d84-1005/

Sometimes a lens will think part of my hat is supposed to be background and covers it. We should be able to adjust the masking with an eraser tool.

Being able to manually tweak the selection is a must needed feature. The AI often fails to seperate the subject and background properly. So a brush like feature is needed to create mask.

We need a tool to adjust what is subject and what is background after taking the picture! A simple brush tool should do, probably with a similar engine from Select and Mask in Photoshop

The auto mask works great with solid objects. However when you get into difficult areas like trees, or an evening cityscape the app can struggle. Some filters will remove most of the skyline while other filters do better but then have gaps in other areas. I understand this can be complicated to do automatically, and like others have said this is why a refine edge or a way to adjust the mask would be great. I have some examples if you would like to review them.

This, for sure. Edge detection worked pretty well for the scenery/sunset type pictures. It detected the sky really well, 9/10. Portraits, not so much. I tried taking a portrait live and from a photo, and both only found about half the background. I was using a blank wall as a background, so not a lot of background detail issues.

I agree the ability to adjust the mask would be a great option. When in portrait mode if the person is holding an item it gets blurred out and there isn't a way to adjust to include that item.

Masking detection is good, but not perfect. Manual correction was required.

Thank you for these great suggestions! To improve the app's masking and also develop new features related to masking, we encourage you all to share your photos with masking issues at pscamera-feedback@adobe.com. Please share both the original picture and the picture with the masking issue. Thank you again for your amazing feedback!

It needs a second option, Manuel controls, replace main object on the composition. More controls. And it really needs “Refine Edge” tool as Photoshop PC version.

Great idea.

In fact, a correction possibility for the masks and also further interventions in the strength of the effects would be a good improvement!

This! I was messing around with some previously taken images and the edge detection was 97%, but created an awkward triangle in the middle and I had no control on correcting that. Would’ve been a cool pic
